Abstract:
This project proposes a business plan for a new hotel in Reus city. The project’s name is Reus Il·lustre. It talks about a small hotel, 3 starts category, 20 rooms and with two key differences between the other touristic accommodations in the town. In one hand, the thematical atmosphere inspired about ten illustrious people born in Reus. In the other hand, his privileged emplacement considered as Cultural Property of Local Interest and it belongs to Ruta del Modernisme de Reus. Another high value is the personal attention to costumer. The final goal of the business plan is to verify the viability of the project. There are several subjects to take into account such as current legislation, the environment, the sector or the existing competition in the capital of Baix Camp. It also estimates the future target customer based in dink couples. In addition, it also outlines a commercial and marketing strategy in order to set prices per accommodation and defines the channels through which the hotel will communicate with potential customers. At the Reus Il·lustre hotel, the most important asset will be the staff, which is detailed in the human resources strategy. At the same time, the plan of operation establishes the production process that is closely linked to the human factor. Finally, the financial plan shows the degree of viability of the project.
