    Abstract:
In recent years, we have observed a change in the mentality of companies. Today, organisations have come to terms with their role and impact on society and have shifted their focus from profit maximisation to other aspects such as the environment and employee wellbeing. They recognise that a healthy working environment is both beneficial for their employees and for the companies themselves, increasing their productivity and profitability. For this reason, they focus on aspects that can impede the well-being of workers, such as burnout syndrome. This paper attempts to analyse this phenomenon, which is a problem that is gaining more and more prominence in the workplace. It is defined as chronic stress that causes workers psychological and physical exhaustion, which leads to a feeling of indifference towards their work. This not only translates into the work environment, but also has consequences for the personal sphere of the worker and for the company, reducing effectiveness and increasing costs, hence the importance of this.
