    Abstract:
Burnout syndrome is an individual response to chronic work stress that develops gradually and can become chronic, which can lead to changes in the worker's overall health. Its symptomatology is multiple as it affects emotional, psychosomatic, behavioral, family, social and work health. This study aims to respond to this phenomenon based on two key concepts in the workplace: engagement and organizational climate. Based on a sample of 80 participants resident in Catalonia and the Balearic Islands, three tests were administered in order to analyze whether commitment and the organizational climate are related to the occurrence of the burnout syndrome.
