Relationship between learning styles and locus of control

    Abstract:
    This work analyzes the relationship between learning styles (ways of acquiring knowledge) and the locus of control (a personality factor) in university students at the Rovira y Virgili University. To do this, the CHAEA questionnaire (Alonso et al, 2012) and the Rotter inventory on internal-external locus of control (Rotter., 1966) were used. In addition, it is studied whether in these two variables there are differences with respect to sex and the branch of knowledge of the participants' studies. The results show a weak negative correlation between theoretical style and locus of control; Regarding sex and the branches of knowledge of the studies, no statistically significant differences are observed.
