    Abstract:
    The Final Project Work on "Analysis of the wage gap and Equality Plans: an empirical study of 14 companies” attempts to study and analyse the wage differentials between men and women existing in the European Union, nationally and in 14 companies. The main objectives are: First: Perform a search for information through (international, European and state) Institutional reports and specialized websites. Second: Observe which is the wage gap in the companies analysed and seen where is the situation. Third: investigate whether there are briefings and training activities on equal opportunities. The method used is: analyse 14 companies from different sectors such as industry, tourism, trade, finance and services with a minimum of 250 workers and observe if they suffer wage discrimination and gender discrimination. The most significant results are: 21,4% have equality agents, 50% formed the template on equal opportunities, 35,71% of companies have a woman holding management positions or high liability and most companies haven’t paid remuneration policies or tables. The main findings are: First: is observed a considerable gap between the existing regulations at European level and state on equality of opportunity and equality plans. Second: after analysing the information obtained, it appears that there are no parameters or general indicators to assess equality of opportunity and equality plans. Third: most companies have a clear lack on the establishment of an Equality Plan. Fourth: many companies conduct information campaigns on equal opportunities but do not perform training activities.
