Female sexuality. The Young Sex Education Program: Design, Implementation and Evaluation

    Abstract:
    This work is mainly focused on female sexuality since throughout history women have seen away from their sexuality, has always gone to man the duty of being sexed; the female until recently, has been a passive element of their own sexuality. Hypothesis: A programme of sex education (PESJ) increases knowledge and reduces prejudices of young people about sexuality, and allows them to live it naturally and full. General objective: Assess the effectiveness of a PESJ about female sexuality. Secondary objectives: assess the degree of prior and subsequent knowledge on sexuality that has people and learn about their beliefs, prejudices, feelings and perceptions. Material and method: It is a study longitudinal, prospective, descriptive, analytical, interventional and quasi-experimental that evaluates the effectiveness of an educational program on sexuality among the young. Has been conducted with students of nursing of the Seu del Baix Penedès in the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV) through questionnaires to assess knowledge, perceptions, beliefs, feelings and prejudices. Results: Significant differences in assessment post in 8 of the variables; have been obtained confirming the effectiveness of the PESJ. Conclusion: Sexual education is a training challenge, healthcare professionals who are dedicated to educating the community should take to the streets and confront the reality of the population, to their socio-cultural context, understanding them and getting in place to be able to provide customized, realistic knowledge and which can address issues that really concern them or motivate.
