Abstract:
The final year project Social Media Marketing: Development of a plan of Social Media for the company Queen’s is mostly focused on the growing field in the area of marketing: the social media marketing and its basic notions that will be applied in the development of the marketing plan for Queen’s, the chosen company. This paper is structured in two main parts: the first one includes the theoretical framework describing the evolution of technology and its development until the creation of Social Media. Likewise, the characteristics, functionalities and use of the marketing 2.0 are also explained. The second section includes the practical part i.e. the development of the plan. Essentially, it considers the information presented in the previous section and it offers several proposals targeted at improving the company, the diffusion of the firm and, at last, facilitates the comprehension of the theory. For that, in the first place it analyses the “Queen’s” situation, its competitors, the targeted public and, at last, the objectives of the plan itself and the strategies to achieve them. Finally, it includes the plan of contents, a crisis plan, the budget and the instructions for carrying out a future monitoring. In conclusion, this project offers a model for the companies which want to open up a path into the social media.
