How do children experience waiting?

  • Identification data

    Identifier:  TFG:9144
    Authors:  Riyani El Kaidi, Mariem
    Abstract:
This study explores how children perceive and manage waiting in service settings, a perspective that has received little attention compared to that of adults. It uses a qualitative approach based on the arts, especially drawing, as a tool to access children's experiences, emotions, and perceptions. Through drawings and interviews, children express their experiences during waiting times in places such as doctors' offices or supermarkets, which allows for more authentic information tailored to their communication style. The study proposes strategies to improve these experiences, highlighting the importance of adapting spaces to children's needs.
