Abstract:
SUMMARY This study aims to clarify the link, among referees with the corresponding Federation. The work is based on a few initial paragraphs where explains the regulatory evolution of the sport and is encompassed within a European framework. On the other hand, the content of the study is based on the realization of three different scenarios where the possible employment of referees can fit. First of all, explores the possible inclusion within a common working relationship. Then the possible lace as a self-employed worker and, finally, inclusion within the special regulation for professional athletes. In the same way, to complete the analysis refers to court judgment that deal with the subject to shed some more light to some possible conclusions. It is concluded, therefore, that two categories of referees must be distinguished: first where would include those referees as a professionals because of their characteristics, dedication and remuneration. These are 1st and 2nd national division, and they would be included within the special regulation of professional athletes. On the other hand, the referees of the remaining categories that due to the same features should have a common part-time employment relationship and therefore should be embedded in the general regulation.
