    Abstract:
Educational leisure in Catalonia is a key space for social transformation, but the emotional health of monitors has received little attention. This study analyzes the relationship between stress, burnout, social support and altruism, comparing the voluntary and professional associative sectors. Using a sample of active monitors, levels of distress, burnout, self-efficacy and social support were assessed. The results show an association between psychological suffering and emotional exhaustion, with no significant differences according to the type of relationship. Social support favors professional self-efficacy and highlights the need for preventive programs adapted to the sector.
