    Abstract: The objective of this study was to implement Cooperative Learning in the classroom, aiming to address the observed problems related to students’ lack of participation and social skills. Thus, a case study was carried out with a 4th ESO group, using qualitative research instruments for data collection. The methodology used focused on group formation and the implementation of different strategies to assess whether this could enhance students’ involvement in English class and facilitate the application of their social skills during group activities. Additionally, this paper aimed to analyse the reasons why learning English affects these two factors.
