    Abstract:
Digital transformation has profoundly reshaped the global financial sector, driven by technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, big data, cloud computing, and the Internet of Things. These innovations have optimized banking operations and enhanced customer experiences. In Bolivia, the adoption of digital technologies in the financial sector has accelerated since the COVID-19 pandemic, leading to the modernization of digital channels and services in financial institutions. However, structural challenges and socio-economic gaps continue to hinder widespread adoption. This study focuses on the strategic analysis of the advances, challenges, and opportunities of digital transformation within the Bolivian financial sector, addressing the lack of research specifically focused on this topic in the national context. The research follows a mixed-methods approach with an exploratory-descriptive and cross-sectional design, combining qualitative and quantitative techniques, including expert interviews and customer surveys from the financial sector.
