Gamifying Grammar: Enhancing Grammar Skills Through Game-Based Learning

    Abstract:
    This paper analyzes how gamification and Game-Based Learning assisted a group of students from 2nd of CSE to improve their English grammar competencies. The purpose of this study is to verify whether by implementing GBL learners are able to improve their grammar knowledge and proficiency. In order to do that, a quasi-experimental study was conducted between two groups, control and experimental. By introducing GBL in the experimental group, their results are compared with those of the control group, which followed the traditional method. The analysis of the results showed a distinction among both groups, with a great refinement in experimental group's English grammar proficiency.
