    Abstract:
This Master's thesis analyzes the effect of daily consumption of polyphenol-rich non-alcoholic red wine over a period of three months in older adults. In a randomized clinical trial involving 44 participants, significant improvements were observed in appendicular skeletal muscle mass and cognitive function (assessed via the Phototest), as well as an improvement in gait speed in both groups. No relevant changes were detected in muscle strength, anthropometric parameters, or biochemical variables. The results are preliminary and require confirmation upon completion of the study.
