Gender identity in SSL books for kids

Abstract:
The following work is focused on analyzing specialized books for kids about learning Spanish as a Second Language: Una Rayuela, Pasacalle 1, Mis Primeros días, Superdrago, Los Trotamundos 1, Los Trotamundos 2, A la una, a las dos, a las tres 1 y A la una, a las dos, a las tres 2. The analysis is based on the images, illustrations and songs that appear on the books for kids about Spanish Second Language to check if them contribute to the gender socialization. So the images, illustrations and songs are reviewed to be classified in 5 items: presence, clothes, activity, initiative and field of activity.
